What RateCraft stores, what gets logged, and how to clear your local data.
Calculations on RateCraft happen in your browser. The inputs you enter into a calculator stay in your browser’s local storage so they persist between visits and across calculators that share fields.
What we store locally
We use your browser’s localStorage to persist your
calculator inputs. These values stay on your device. You can clear them
at any time via your browser’s site settings (or DevTools →
Application → Local Storage → delete keys starting with rc:).
What gets logged on the server
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) automatically logs basic request data — IP address, user agent, referring URL, request path — for the same operational reasons every web server logs requests: debugging, abuse prevention, and aggregate usage statistics.
Third-party services
The site loads Google Fonts (Fraunces and DM Sans) from Google’s CDN. Google sees your IP and user agent when your browser fetches the fonts. If this bothers you, most browsers let you block external font loading.
Cookies, accounts, analytics
The current version of the site does not require an account, does not set cookies for tracking, and does not run third-party analytics. If we add accounts, analytics, or other features that change what data is collected, this page will be updated and the change will be noted on this page.
Affiliate links
If we add affiliate links in the future, the affiliate provider may set its own cookies when you click through. Such links will be disclosed visibly on the page they appear on.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If we change what we collect or share, we’ll update this page and note the date prominently.
